The Full Step-by-Step Rent to Own Program
Step 1: Apply to the program. Start by filling out the online application.
Step 2: We will arrange a consultation with you where we will review your application and other information you provide to assess whether the rent-to-own program is a good fit for you.
Step 3: We will create a program and an action plan customized for you.
Step 4: We will connect you with a trusted realtor to help you find your home.
Step 5: We will buy the home for you. You will sign the Residential Tenancy Agreement (lease agreement) and the Option to Purchase Agreement. You will take these contracts to a lawyer to get independent legal advice.
Step 6: You will move into your home as a tenant for an agreed lease term (usually 2-4 years), under the lease agreement. During the rent-to-own program, you will build up your savings and our credit team will help you build and repair your credit.
Step 7: When ready, you will meet with a mortgage broker, qualify for a mortgage, and buy the home.
